Greg grew up farming and ranching Northeast Nebraska. At a very young age he learned the value of hard work, the urgency of a tight time frame, and the true meaning of working with a tight budget.
After High School, Greg began working in the construction industry to help fund his education at Chadron State in Western Nebraska. In 1989, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Management and Business Administration.
After graduation, Greg worked as a Carpenter, Project Superintendent, and Project Manager for over thirty years, gaining valuable experience in both Residential and Commercial construction. In 2020, with the help and encouragement of his wife, he launched GKC Construction.
Greg built his first custom home in Jackson Hole, Wyoming in 1993 and has been building in Western Wyoming and Idaho ever since.
Greg and his wife Casey live in Idaho Falls, Idaho and have four boys, Kohl, Randon, Brady and McCoy. Whether your next project is a removal or new construction, GKC Construction would love the opportunity to share the knowledge, experience, and skill that they have gained over the years.
Kohl grew up in the footsteps of his father, Greg. Born and raised in Idaho Falls, he has been involved in construction his entire life. From childhood through his high school years, when Kohl wasn't playing baseball, he could be found working alongside his dad.
A standout three sport athlete at Bonneville High School, Kohl continued his baseball career at both the University of Oregon and Utah Valley University. Studying Construction Management and Communications, Kohl graduated from Utah Valley University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
After graduation, Kohl returned home to Idaho Falls to begin his career in construction. He worked in both Residential and Commercial Construction as a Carpenter and Project Superintendent before going into business with his dad.
Kohl's strong work ethic, skill, and knowledge of construction have helped him complete projects in both Western Wyoming and Eastern Idaho.
Kohl and his wife Kaylee live in Idaho Falls and have one son, Beckham.
